The Road goes ever on and on

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with weary feet,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Lord Of The Rings , 1954-1955

LoTR is one book (ok, ok...its a trilogy) that I could never get past the first chapter. I know this book has converted 'non-readers' into avid 'readers'. D, you know I am talking about JC here and I have a lot of other friends who swear by this book.

But I never got it.

Manjusha, it took me more than one trying to get past the first chapter, then I could hardly let the book out of my hand to take a shower, go to work, talk to people, man, every moment spent not reading it hurt. we all have our preferences.

Ariel, :)

I've had the same feeling about a few other books. I agree, we all have our preferences.
